Our Story Started With A Question

Why do so many businesses struggle with budgets that don't reflect what actually happens day-to-day? We found the answer in activity-based thinking.

From Spreadsheet Chaos to Clear Direction

Back in 2018, our founder was working with small manufacturers around Western Sydney. Every client had the same problem — budgets that looked great on paper but fell apart when real work began.
Traditional budgeting asks "how much will we spend on materials?" Activity-based budgeting asks "what will we actually do, and what will those activities cost?" That shift changes everything.
We started lavorintexqa because business owners deserve budgets that make sense. Not theoretical frameworks, but practical tools that help you understand where money actually goes and why.
Today we work with hundreds of Australian businesses, from cafes tracking ingredient costs per menu item to service companies understanding their true project expenses. The approach stays the same — start with activities, build costs from there.

What Drives Us Forward

Real Business Focus

We work with actual business challenges, not textbook examples. Every technique we teach comes from solving real problems with real companies. When you learn activity mapping with us, you're using methods that helped a Penrith bakery reduce waste by 30% last year.

How We Approach Financial Education

Start With Your Actual Work

Before touching spreadsheets, we map what your business actually does. Not org charts or job descriptions, but the real activities that create value and consume resources. This foundation makes everything else clearer.

Connect Activities to Costs

Once you see your activities clearly, connecting them to costs becomes logical. We show you how to trace expenses back to the specific activities that drive them, revealing insights traditional budgeting misses.

Build Budgets That Make Sense

With activity-cost relationships mapped, your budgets reflect reality. Instead of guessing at expense categories, you're planning based on what you know your business actually does and what those activities truly cost.

Apply in Your Business

Learning without application stays theoretical. Our programs include practical exercises using your own business activities, so you leave with tools you'll actually use next week, not someday.
